Frequently Asked Questions

Q: At what age should a person start such a program?

A: There are parts of the program that can benefit all ages. We have patients in their 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's through the 80's who have experienced positive results from our center. Generally speaking our programs have the most significant results at age 35 and older. Sooner than later is important in thwarting the deleterious effects of aging.

Q: Is the program equally beneficial for men and women?

A: Yes. Though men and women age differently, the causes and treatments are very similar.

Q: Is hormone replacement safe?

A: We use natural hormones, not the derivative of other substances, such as the popular 'Premarin' from pregnant mare urine. Secondly, we use replacement levels of hormones, i.e. levels the body was accustomed to in earlier years. Thirdly, reputable studies using these therapies have reported only positive results.

Q: Do I increase my risk of cancer through hormone replacement therapy?

A: There is no reason to believe that hormone replacement poses risk if given in natural doses. On the contrary, hormone replacement has proven to be extremely helpful in strengthening the immune system and thereby preventing the onset of disease.

Q: Are components of the program mandatory?

A: Testing is mandatory as a means to help us know you. Each treatment program is individualized in cooperation with you. We work hard to educate and inform. When the time is appropriate, you will be very knowledgeable and able to make informed decisions.

Q: How long before I can actually see results?

A: This varies with each individual. Some feel results within days. You can certainly expect results within a few weeks.

Q: Does Human Growth Hormone (HGH) have to be injected?

A: HGH can be replaced in the body through one of two means: The first is orally through the use of precursors or "growth hormone stimulators" as they have become known on the internet. Be careful of the claims being made because these products have limited effect.  The most effective means of growth hormone replacement is through self-administered injections. HGH is made up of polypeptides that break down if taken orally and will not absorb through any skin surface.

Q: Are there any side effects from the medications?

A: When given in proper natural doses there are no side effects.

Q: Will the treatment interfere with my currently prescribed medicines?

A: Generally not. In some instances medications (such as anti-depressants) may actually be reduced in level or no longer needed. Our physicians can answer specific questions or concerns.

Q: Is this type of program, using HGH, approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)?

A: Yes. The FDA approved Human Growth Hormone for hormone deficient adults in the summer of 1996.

Q: Does it work?

A: Yes! This is not a fanciful search for the fountain of youth. It is medical science at it best. It is board certified doctors using sophisticated lab tests and treatment protocols developed and used over several years to produce life-altering results. We have patients tell us there was life before and after marriage, before and after children and now life before and after hormone therapy.

Q: Do I have to come to the Anti-aging clininc headquarters?

A: No. We do our testing through Quest Diagnostics which has blood drawing stations conveniently located across the U.S. We also have physician affiliates conveniently located in most parts of the country.

Q: How much hormone will I take?

A: The doctor will prescribe the appropriate amount it takes to get your hormone levels to a point that you are achieving optimal results. That will probably be the upper end of the normal and safe range as shown in lab tests.

Q: How long must I commit to hormone replacement?

A: The commitment should last as long as you what the results.

Q: How do I get started?

A: Contact us by phone at 1-800-620-9190 or
